At the latest photo club meeting, each photographer was given only 5 minutes with two brides to get the best photo possible. We were in a giant, empty warehouse, which had a lot of great locations in which to shoot. After picking one image and editing it, each photographer submitted their favorite into the competition. We were judged on direction/posing, style and technical abilities. And out of a dozen of the best photographers in the area, my photo was in the top five. Thanks again to Brian and Briana for putting on another amazing event. I can’t believe what we were all able to accomplish in only 5 minutes! Check out a few of my photos below. The first one is the one that I entered.
I had taken my friend Jillian’s maternity photos, so I was thrilled when she asked me to take photos of her one-month-old son after he was born for his baby announcement. Luca is so precious, and I can tell already that he is going to grow up into a very handsome little boy.
Today is the 8th anniversary of September 11, 2001, and I think that it is very appropriate that I took portraits yesterday of a young man in his Navy attire. I would like to thank all those, like John here, who serve and protect our country.
This little girl was such a joy to work with, and I felt like I was going back in time and reliving my childhood as I followed her around her backyard, capturing her playtime on camera.
Thank you so much Brian and Briana Elledge for inviting me to their monthly photo club. Two brides+three floors of furniture=awesome. It was great meeting all the wonderful photographers from Bradenton to Orlando as well. Thanks to Monica and Alyssa for being great models. Can’t wait for next month!
A new trend in wedding photography is something called “Trash the Dress” in which brides do really cool, sexy, and edgy shots in their dress after the wedding is over because they are never going to wear it again. Here are some examples.
I had the honor of photographing the wedding of Miyuki Nakadoi and Robert Hall at The Rusty Pelican in Tampa, Florida. It is one of my favorite wedding locations in the area with a very cute gazebo right on the water of Tampa Bay and a great restaurant to hold the reception.
My friend Jillian is expecting her first baby. I took some photos for her at Philippe Park in Safety Harbor, Florida so that one day she can show her son.
Bryan and Nicole Smith got married on June 7, 2009 at Fred Ball Park in Tampa with very close family and friends in attendance. Following the wedding, they had a small reception at a friend’s house.
Notice the large tattoo on this person’s chest in the photo above (which has been enhanced to not look as faded as it is in person). After a lot of work in Photoshop, I was able to remove the tattoo in the photo below so that the person in these photos can use it to show prospective clients in an aspiring modeling career. His muscles have also been enhanced.
